Alternative Christmas has become an annual event at CGS. Around the beginning of Advent the Missions Team selects various mission opportunities to bring before the congregation. The idea is to offer an alternative to traditional gift giving and encourage members to make donations to one or more missions in the name of someone (or everyone) on their normal gift list. Gift cards are available for the donors to send to their loved ones. Service opportunities include manning a table at the Alternative Christmas Fair and being a Mission Advocate.
