Our Mission:

Church of the Good Shepherd is a Christ-centered,warm and caring family, called to grow as disciples, share Christ's love, and nurture God's Children.

The Missions Team meets the first Wednesday of each month at 11:30 am for a regular business meeting in the Adult Class Room. This is where decisions and plans are made. Team members need to be willing to prayerfully consider topics of discussion and be prepared to lead the congregation in our outreach. If you have a passion for missions, but are unable to attend these meetings, please let Norvelle Pulver or Melanie Carnes know, we can always find a job for you!

Outreach includes local, national, and global mission initiatives. This team is also responsible for recommending financial support for many of the missions through the Session’s Budget Committee and the General Fund. Others are supported by designated gifts only. All need the support of your prayers.

A Minute for Missions Speaker is also known as a Missions Advocate. Occasionally, the Missions Team will ask for a few brief moments to address the congregation on a special offering or mission opportunity. If you are passionate about one of our Mission Opportunities, check this out! Eloquent speakers are welcome to apply.
